CIRRUS
was successful in applying for Nordplus funding in 2019/20
We received 46 000 EUR for mobility – for students and teachers and for projects:

5-DAY DESIGN SPRINT: INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE – 15 480 EUR

A design sprint is a 5-day iterative process for learning, resulting in a product or service. Through design-thinking, prototyping, and testing ideas with end-users, a 5-day design sprint gives students a shortcut to learning without building and launching; that is, months of time compressed into a single week, or more precisely, 5 days.

Urban Gaming III – 15 010 EUR

Again, we will seek for both skills and experience in game design and other design skills and backgrounds. The environment in Espoo is in certain ways less urban than the previous ones, but it also allows the possibility to study less dense urban and campus environments as game environment and provides connections with the game design programme at the Aalto University. In order to get some of the concepts properly realized, we will collaborate with http://yhteismaa.fi/en/, an organization specializing in participatory culture and co-creation.

CIRRUS also received 6000 EUR funding for organising network seminar for teachers titled “Self-determination and Singularity”
